Benefit Cosmetics Global Managers Conference

Setting the tone for the coming year, Benefit Cosmetics brought managers from around the world to discuss upcoming challenges and organizational goals at their GM Conference.  Benefit Cosmetics retained DPEM to ideate and execute a ’70s themed after-party that highlighted the brand’s San Francisco heritage, and gave guests an opportunity to relax and reconnect.

The retreat took place at Solage in Calistoga, where guests could indulge in “destination luxury” and escape the noise of the city to focus on their path to $2 Billion and discuss key themes of “Brow Domination.” In an effort to celebrate the past 40 years’ successes and honor the brand’s origins, the space was transformed into a ‘70s time capsule complete with a VW van photo booth, a LED dance floor, and themed décor like bean bags and lava lamps.

DPEM handled creative concepting, venue management, décor, activations, entertainment, and on-site logistics of the party so that the Benefit team could focus on the content of the conference. The event’s success led to a similar celebration for their Marketing Department the following quarter.

Oceanwide Center Groundbreaking

Recognizing the Oceanwide Center as a cornerstone of the growing San Francisco skyline, DPEM produced an elevated groundbreaking experience that brought together city officials, community leaders, developers, and architects to celebrate the impact the skyscrapers will have on the community.

Working with the Oceanwide team to identify program goals and brand messaging, DPEM translated these elements into a clear concept and design for the event. Robust imagery and giant models were created for the event in order to show the project’s vision and immerse guests into the Oceanwide experience. DPEM was responsible for managing the event concept and design, translation service for international attendees, city permits, vendor management, collateral fulfillment, food & beverage, stage production, and overall logistics and execution of the program.

The Oceanwide Center will comprise of two high-rise towers adjacent to the Transbay Terminal, Salesforce Tower, and 181 Fremont.  The center promotes a sustainable approach to urban development incorporating mix-use of space consisting of commercial, residential, and public areas that will celebrate the city’s future, while honoring its history.

Westfield San Francisco Centre Tree Lighting

Aligning with their new seasonal campaign “The Place to Holiday,” Westfield San Francisco Centre retained DPEM to reimagine their Under the Dome Tree Lighting event into a holiday destination that was inclusive for the larger San Francisco community, from locals and visitors to children and adults. At the heart of the event was a 50 foot inverted Christmas tree, under which guests enjoyed holiday performances by the San Francisco Ballet and the cast of The Kind and I. TAP 415 debuted their pop-up café concept at the event, serving guests sumptuous treats and drinks. The event promoted Westfield’s Winter Nights Holiday Bazaar that showcased unique local artisans selling gifts and crafts, further activating the space and bringing in holiday shoppers to solidify Westfield as the place to holiday.

DPEM was responsible for vendor management and solicitation, stage programming, food and beverage, staffing, and on-site execution.
