DPEM is always pursuant of sustainable best practices and with the substantial water reductions across California, we are strategizing ways we can help conserve water. DPEM employees are mindful of the amounts of water we use throughout the day, and we try our best not to waste any single drop
Here are simple and easy tips we are implementing in our office:
- Instead of purchasing plants that require high amounts of water, think about buying xeric plants like air plants and succulents as they require less water and are easier to maintain.
- Scrape your dishes with a fork or spoon instead of rinsing them with water. We save from 1 to 3 gallons of water each time.
- Rather than throwing away the melting ice cubes in your drink, use that to water plants around the office.
We’re curious, what are you doing to help conserve water?
